Getting Started

Install the extension and connect to NotebookLM.

Prerequisites

  • A Chrome-based browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, etc.)
  • A Google account with access to NotebookLM

Installation

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store and search for "Powerpack for NotebookLM"
  2. Click "Add to Chrome"
  3. Confirm the installation when prompted

The extension works on Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, and other Chromium-based browsers.

First-time setup

  1. Open NotebookLM first: Navigate to notebooklm.google.com and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Click the extension icon: You should see your list of notebooks.
  3. Ready to use: If notebooks load successfully, the extension is connected.

The extension needs NotebookLM to be open at least once to obtain an authentication token. This token is stored locally in your browser.

Basic usage

  1. Browse to any webpage or YouTube video
  2. Click the extension icon
  3. Select a target notebook from the dropdown
  4. Click "Import Current Page"

Troubleshooting

Notebooks not loading

  • Make sure you are signed in to NotebookLM in the same browser
  • Try opening NotebookLM in a new tab, then retry
  • Check that the extension has the necessary permissions

Import fails

  • NotebookLM may have rate limits; wait a moment and try again
  • Some URLs may not be supported by NotebookLM itself
