Features
What the extension can do.
Quick Import
Import the current browser tab to a selected notebook with one click.
Supported content types
- Webpages: Any publicly accessible URL
- YouTube videos: Standard watch pages, shorts, and youtu.be links
How it works
- Click the extension icon while on a webpage or YouTube video
- Select a notebook from the dropdown
- Click "Import Current Page"
The extension sends the URL to NotebookLM, which then fetches and processes the content on its own servers.
Bulk Import
Import multiple URLs at once instead of adding them one by one.
How to use
- Click the extension icon and open the full app
- Switch to the "Bulk Import" tab
- Paste multiple URLs (one per line, or space-separated)
- Select a notebook and click Import
URLs are automatically detected and categorized as websites or YouTube videos.
YouTube Playlist Import
Parse a YouTube playlist and import selected videos.
How to use
- Open the full app and switch to the YouTube tab
- Paste a YouTube playlist URL
- Click "Parse Playlist" to preview the video list
- Select or deselect individual videos
- Click Import
Playlist parsing is done locally by fetching the playlist page. Large playlists may not show all videos due to YouTube's lazy loading.
RSS Feed Import
Parse an RSS or Atom feed and import selected articles.
How to use
- Open the full app and switch to the RSS tab
- Paste an RSS feed URL
- Click "Parse Feed" to preview the article list
- Select or deselect individual articles
- Click Import
Supports both RSS 2.0 and Atom feed formats.
Browser Tabs Import
Load all currently open browser tabs and import selected ones.
How to use
- Open the full app and switch to the Tabs tab
- Click "Load Tabs" to see all open browser tabs
- Select or deselect individual tabs
- Click Import
This is useful if you have multiple research tabs open and want to import them all at once.
Notebook Management
View your NotebookLM notebooks and create new ones.
- See a list of all notebooks with their source counts
- Create a new empty notebook
- Link directly to a notebook in NotebookLM
Audio Overview
View audio overview status, play, or download the audio file.
- See which notebooks have audio overviews generated
- Play audio directly in the built-in player
- Download the audio file (M4A format) for offline listening
Audio generation is done by NotebookLM, not by this extension. The extension only displays status and provides download access.
Limitations
- Session required: You need to have logged into NotebookLM at least once for the extension to work. If imports fail, try opening NotebookLM in a tab to refresh your session.
- Rate limits: NotebookLM may limit how many sources you can add in a short period. Add sources gradually if needed.
- Content support: Not all URLs can be imported. This depends on what NotebookLM supports, not the extension.
